Will King founded shaving products and cosmetics business KMI Group in 1993 alongside business partner Hiten Dayal. His King of Shaves brand has evolved into one of the largest players in the 'shaving prep' market, while his 2008 launch of the first British-made razor for more than a century has already resulted in a UK market share of almost 10%. KMI's portfolio also includes a fragrance licensing partnership with Ted Baker, hair styling products Fish and Angel Fish and a licensing deal with Ministry of Sound for its Hed Kandi brand. Group turnover was £61m in 2008, and following the announcement of the demerger of King of Shaves from KMI in April, King is planning for aggressive global expansion of his award winning shaving brand.
