I've worked for LloydsTSB for 25 years in a number of roles but for the last 20 years as a relationship manager for Small Business Customers of the Bank across the M4 and M3 corridors.
This has involved dealing with both start up and mature businesses across all industry classifications
The roles I have undertaken have given me a great understanding of the issues and opportunities that Business owners face on a day to day basis. I have acted as a sounding board to help them overcome the issues or capitalise on the opportunities as well as providing finance or other more traditional banking services.
I see the Relationship Manager role as helping my customers achieve the success that they want, in the way that they want. For people starting a new business this involves challenging their expectations and working with them to turn them into reality.
